P90x Recovery Drink Alternative Alternatives
I always say everything is personal choice when it comes to workouts and you even have an alternative to using a p90x recovery drink alternative (other than using the originals p90x recovery drink or not using anything at all.) Actually just before I move on from this, I really don’t suggest not using anything at all. If, for whatever reason, you can’t use a recovery drink then at least drink a lot of milk or see if you can borrow some from a friend for a while (they’re big tubs). A recovery drink can make a *lot* of difference to your workout and you really should be using one if you’re not already.
I’ve mentioned them before but never really looked into them properly because I’m usually more focused on the recovery drink sides if thing. Yep, I’m talking about using a recovery bar instead of (or as well as) a recovery drink. I don’t use them myself but that’s just personal taste and plenty of people do use them with or instead of workout recovery drinks and get great results.
Now the same as with the p90x recovery drink alternative options and the p90x results recovery formula you have an option between the original p90x recovery bars and a lot of alternatives. Some people even make their own but I can’t help you with that, I still consider not burning toast a culinary triumph.
I personally don’t use bars because I can feel them sitting in my stomach when I work out and I prefer to workout on an empty stomach but some people don’t notice or just eat the recovery bar after the workout instead. I know some people that use a90x recovery drink before a workout and a recovery bar afterwards. You don’t want to take too much though or you’ll put to much stress on your organs. So if you want to combine both have a look at the ingredients of each and the suggested portions and adapt your portions to avoid going over the limit. You don’t need to worry about this too much if you’re just using one or the other. Basically, use common sense and stick to the suggest labels on the packet (or tub in the case of the drinks).
You might decide you prefer using a recovery bar and leave out a workout recovery drink entirely. It depends on what works for you and what you prefer. If you’re going to swap between them to compare then give each enough time to actually have an effect and remember to keep your workouts as even as possible so you get a fair view of both.
If you’re looking for an alternative bar to the p90x bar then make sure you get the right thing. Some of the bars out there will get you nutrition sure enough but you want a bar which was actually made for recovery if you want to get the most out of it. Your average breakfast bar will probably be better than nothing but if you want to get the best out of it, then get something which was actually made for recovery. Trust me, getting the right nutrition is certainly important but it’s not going to help you if you’re too worn out or sore to workout enough to take advantage of it. A good p90x recovery drink alternative or bar gets you the nutritional value, plus the restoration aspect which can help you keep going. And trust me, you’re going to need all the help you can to keep going with something as tough as the P90x.
I know there are some people that bake their own recovery bars. I haven’t tried this myself, I can barely make toast, but it’s worth considering if you want to save a little money and you know how to bake. I’ll try to get a guide up on baking your own recovery bars if I can find the right ingredients to use, but be prepared for burned example photos if I make them myself!
And as always, if you’re going go try it give it a chance. There’s no point trying it for a few days and giving up because you’re not getting the results you wanted to see. Make a proper commitment and stick with it before deciding if it works for you or not. So make sure you get enough bars to begin with and try to avoid eating them randomly so you get proper use out of them.
